For those seeking financial assistance, Ohio’s Medicaid offers the Assisted Living Waiver program to elderly and low-income elderly residents. This program directly pays for the services provided in assisted living home. However, this program does not cover the cost of room and board. Ohio personal care homes are required to provide appropriate health services that are ordered by an attending physician, as well as keep all medical information confidential, accurate, and complete.
