I still want to participate in community activities, but I’m not really able to keep up physically. What can I do?

Usually, senior care communities offer a variety of activities. If you find that the activities your community is offering exceed your physical abilities, consider proposing more suitable options. For example, you could propose board game nights, card game nights, or movie showings. Most seniors care more about opportunities to be social rather than opportunities to be physically active. At the very least, contact your facility’s staff to inform them that you would prefer more activities that you are capable of participating in. It is likely if you are looking for more options other seniors are as well.
