Stay calm, and try to keep your senior calm as well. Panicking can make injuries worse if a senior tries to get up too fast. Have the senior evaluate the situation and determine if they are hurt. If you think that they may be injured, call 911 to get help. If the elder feels that they can get up, then the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons has steps and recommendations on how to do so.
