According to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, there are an estimated 7 to 10 million people living with Parkinson’s disease worldwide. In the United States, there are as many as one million individuals living with PD. Each year, approximately 60,000 Americans are diagnosed with the disease. Many foundations and researchers are still working tirelessly to develop a cure and the developments are looking up.
