Typically, your senior will qualify for the A&A Pension if they meet the following requirements:

  • Wartime Veteran with 90 days active duty
    • 1 day beginning or ending during a period of war
  • A surviving spouse (marriage must have ended due to death of veteran) may also apply
  • Must not have been discharged dishonorably

You will also have to meet some medical and financial qualifications to determine if you are able to receive veteran benefits. Medically, the Wartime Veteran or surviving spouse must need the assistance of another person to perform daily activities of living such as eating, dressing, or toileting.

Financially, the applicant must have less than $80,000 in assets, not including their home or vehicles.
