Maybe. In order to qualify for veteran benefits, the veteran would need to have been ‘called-up’ to serve in order to be eligible for benefits. In order to qualify from the Army Reserves, the individual must have been called-up to service during an approved wartime period. In order for those from the National Guard to be eligible to receive benefits, they must have been activated for federal service during a period of war or domestic emergency.
