My father recently passed away. As the holidays approach I'm worried about my mother feeling lonely. Does anyone have recommendations on what to do during this time to comfort her over the holidays?

Make time to do all of your mom’s favorite things. Take her out to lunch and shopping like your dad used to or make time to go over to her house and help her decorate. Try your best to keep things as normal as possible. But, also be aware that this is the first time that your dad won’t be involved. If your mom gets upset, misses your dad, or wants to talk about old memories, let her. You’re probably missing him too and you both will be able to comfort each other.
