My parents refused to get hearing aids for years. It wasn’t until the doctor explained to them that their ears played a large role in their balance and that hearing loss can lead to a higher risk of falling that they finally agreed to get hearing aids. Once they tried them out, they never went back. Plus, being able to hear their grandchildren speak and laugh for the first time made it all the more worth it to them.
