This is basically a "catch-all" term for lung disorders. Interstitial lung disease (ILD), or pulmonary fibrosis, refers to more than 200 chronic lung disorders. These issues can range in severity but all target the lungs and surrounding areas. This is a general term, but your doctor will most likely narrow down the diagnosis after a physical exam.
