Is it true that my overactive bladder could be caused by smoking?

Nicotine can irritate the bladder muscle, causing bladder contraction and urgency. Coughing as a result of smoking may cause urinary leakage. The first solution would be to quit smoking to limit the chance of OAB. Other options include kegel exercises or taking medications to help prevent OAB. Make sure to also monitor your diet and avoid natural diuretics.
