My mother recently had her cataracts removed, is it possible they could come back?

Unfortunately, it is possible that your mother's cataracts could return if an artificial lens was not put it. Cataracts are a clouding of the lens, so it's possible her lens could become clouded again. However, if an artificial lens is implanted, then cataracts will not be able to return. Consult with your mother's doctor to determine what steps were taken to remove and correct her cataracts.
