A senior should be enrolled into an adult day care if s/he is in need of extra help with daily activities during the daytime. According to NASDA, if your senior is having problems with performing daily tasks, has trouble focusing, loses interest in interacting with others, is alone for a good portion of the day and is in need of attention, s/he should consider enrolling in an adult day care center.
