I’ve had asthma since I was a child. Does that put me at a higher risk for different lung infections as I age?

As long as you’ve stayed on top of treatment for your asthma, you shouldn’t have to worry about lasting damage to your lungs. Having asthma doesn’t mean you will acquire other lung infections. However, there can be negative side effects to the long-term use of medications that you use to treat asthma. Be sure to should consult your physician about any concerns you have.
