An overactive bladder is when you feel the urge to urinate frequently, but you literally can’t hold it and it could lead to an accident. This can lead to other symptoms such as urinary incontinence, which is when you completely lose control of your bladder. A urinary tract infection causes similar symptoms to happen, but it is caused by bacteria and can be treated with medication. An overactive bladder is caused by certain medications, diseases such as Parkinson’s, or nerve damage. The best way to determine what to do if you are urinating frequently is to see a physician.
