My mother has always been forgetful, but lately, it seem more so than usual. Is she just getting old or could this be Dementia or Alzheimer's?

First and foremost, you know your mother better than the Senior Caring experts, so if you feel like something is slightly off, it is definitely worth a checkup with her primary care physician. However, ask yourself, is something deeper distracting your mother that could be clouding her thoughts? Is your mother showing early warning signs of Alzheimer's disease? The effects of Alzheimer’s are irreversible, so it is best to look further into identifying the root of the symptoms you described to determine whether your mother is showing early signs of Alzheimer’s, or is simply becoming quirkier with age.
