How do I know if I'm eligible for Medicaid?

You may apply on the Medicaid website to see if you are eligible for financial assistance. However, a few of the general Medicaid requirements are as follows:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or meet specific immigration rules
  • Be a resident of the state that you apply
  • Have a social security number

And also at least one of the following additional requirements:

  • Age 65 or older
  • Have a permanent disability as defined by the Social Security Administration
  • Be blind
  • Be a pregnant woman
  • Be a child, or the parent/caretaker of a child
