Medicare provides coverage paid from trust funds, which covered individuals have paid into. Primarily serving people over 65, it can also serve younger people with disabilities or patients with dialysis. As a federal program, Medicare is the same everywhere in the United States, allowing patients to pay for hospital and other costs through deductibles.
