Are there any devices that can make caregiving easier or more efficient? Our father is usually fine by himself, but we try to check in pretty regularly.

In our technological age, there are actually plenty of devices that can make caregiving more efficient and keep loved ones safe. Emergency response bracelets or necklaces can be a great way for your loved one too quickly and efficiently call for help. However, with these systems it’s important that your loved one to use their best judgment on when to use the device. For individuals with dementia, it could be reasonable to provide them with a tracking monitor in case they wander from safety. Other things like smart watches and smartphones can be great methods to ensure that communication remains efficient, despite the learning curve.
