I think my dad's vision is starting to worsen, but he should be fine to drive. Is there anything he can do to make driving easier or stay safe behind the wheel?

Age-related vision changes can make driving harder for seniors. But, this doesn’t necessarily mean they need to put down the keys. Here are some tips to help your dad stay safe while on the road:

  • Use caution at intersections, especially when making a left turn
  • Limit yourself to daytime driving
  • Take a driving course for seniors
  • Have an annual eye examination
  • Be careful wearing glasses with large side arms (may restrict side vision)
