My parents are against me modifying their home. They are convinced that it is unnecessary. But, I've noticed my mom is having trouble going up and down the stairs. What can I do to change their minds?

Be patient. Convincing them to help you change their home might take some time because most people have difficulties admitting when they are getting older and need more help to do ordinary things. Also, it’s a bit awkward for them because the roles are starting to change. So, don’t push the subject too much. Continue expressing genuine concern, but give them a chance to come to the realization by themselves.
