It’s always a good idea to follow the Boy Scout mantra and “Be prepared.” Even if your loved one is healthy now, the reality is that this could all change at a moment’s notice. Having a plan in case your senior no longer can care for himself or herself will eliminate a lot of stress later down the line. It is also a good idea to start now so you can get familiar with the process of finding and working with a continuing care facility.
