There are different types of Physical Therapy available for the rehabilitation process. Inpatient, home, and outpatient are the three main types. Inpatient refers to the time after surgery when your mom is still in the hospital, and home therapy involves a therapist coming to the home a few times/week to help with recovery. The surgeon will also probably recommend outpatient therapy to strengthen the hip.
